Tube to the rescue during Tour of Cambridgeshire

Tube to the rescue during Tour of Cambridgeshire

After having a crash with 32 miles to go, I was left with a rear derailleur and jockey bent between the rear spokes… With virtually no support over an hour wait by the road (luckily not a critical crash) I decided that I had to find a way to get the bike working… I had to bend the jockey and tie the derailleur to the frame with pieces of a popped tube from my uncle that had landed on me in the crash. It was firmly in place and still slightly bent but I managed to ride the last 32 miles stuck in a 50/12 gear. Got me to the end so I guess it did the job!
