Duct Tape Works Great

#Hack/Bodge Instead of having to change my rear tire every time I put my bike on the trainer and spending a lot of time and getting grimy, I decided to try using 1 inch duct tape to protect the tire from wearing. It works and it’s quick and easy, duct tape is a lot less expensive than a new tire. Any tape residue on the tire after tape removal is easily cleaned by less than mile on a paved road.
