Roadside thru axel spacers

I was cycling in Japan and my thru axel broke whilst putting the front wheel back on. I didn't have a spare and we were in a remote part of Japan so nothing was available. I bought a cheap axel online and had it sent to me but the only one they had available was too long.... So I simply took the lids off some juice bottles we were carrying and fashioned them into makeshift spacers for the front axel!! Perfect. Everything is nice and tight and I'm back on the road..
